Soggy Soccer

I'm thinking this may be the extent of our 'winter' weather. One rainy day on the soccer field. Ahh, the exhilaration of cool air in your lungs, raindrops dripping from slippery hair, mud flinging up from cleats clawing across the grass. Pure ecstasy. Well, ecstasy maybe from the player's point of view.

My point of view is clouded with the 2-3 hour scrubbing by hand of all the mud from those once white shorts. And those socks?! Fughetaboudit!!! They'll NEVER see white again.....there is no amount of elbow grease or bleach that can cure that ill. I especially love that Dawz made sure to fall, slide and roll several times on the same side to really GRIND the earth into those tiny white fibers.

Here are a couple more shots. Click this post's title to see more pictures. Kind of all the same but not really. As a mom, I, of course, have to upload them all. Can we have too many pictures of our children? BTW, as much as I'd like to claim the skill, all the photos in this post were taken by the professional company Action Sports Photography.
