In the Name of Exercise

Here we are on a recent jaunt along one of my favorite walking trails. It's a bit rigorous with a few hills. One of us pretty much ran the WHOLE way (even if it was in place some of the time) AND loved digging, too. One of us was contempletive, quiet and just happy to be along, forging up, away and ahead. One of us complained every step of the way AND stopped. Every. Step. Of. The. Way.

The crowning moment for me was when one boy asked to hold my hand for a long way down. At this age - those are total jewel moments!!! Sweetness and pretty much wiped the griping slate clean - my heart was happy the rest of the day.
