This child made me the most beautiful card at school (below) and I was buoyed for days and days on the heartwarming I got from that sentiment. (It reads: Your the best mom ever living) He also came and whispered, "Happy Mother's Day" into my ear that morning then left to let me sleep in! Ah. Blissful.
This child silently got up shortly after his brother and made brownies while I slept in. They were beautiful brownies, baked perfectly! (I wish I snapped a shot before they were LONG gone) And they made the whole house smell wonderful. He did mention that he couldn't find the cooking oil so he substitued honey instead since he couldn't bear to toss the lot down the drain. (My frugality shows up in so many ways....)Let me say just how lip-smacking, roof-of-mouth-sticking, delicious they were! We ate them all before the day was done.We are shameless chocoholics and a little honey substitute is not enough to stop us. My life is so much richer because of you boys. I love my life with you in it!
