First Weeks of Summer

1st week:

  • Summertime. Splurging on sugar is one of the things we did this first week. Giant pretzel sticks dipped in melted chocolate, coconut and sprinkles.
  • Lots of trampoline jumping.
  • Basketball camp.
  • A bit of swimming in the neighborhood pool.
  • Skate session at the Vans Skate Park (was free on Father's Day = woo hoo!)

2nd week:

  • swim lessons through the Red Cross program. (Yes, both boys swim well but we're continuing so that they can learn advanced strokes, more safety procedures especially with all the beaches, prep for swim team and maybe the junior lifeguard program once they turn 11. Here's to hoping.)
  • Family Camp! We didn't know anyone but went along anyway for the adventure as Tim was hired by the director to provide the interactive games and activities. They spoiled us with a furnished (2 bathroom/2 bedroom) cabin instead of a group house with bunks and a trek to the loo. Quite nice. The bookstore sold lattes even. Heaven, I'm tellin' ya.
  • Lots of riding bikes in the neighborhood.
3rd week:
  • VBS (Vacation Bible School) at church
  • motorbike riding
I'll just put a link with pictures on the sidebar since I don't know how else to do that if you're up for visuals. Didn't take lots of shots of all those activities but there are a few token ones for family especially.

And I sit at my desk at work and sit a home. Oh my.

Does sound like everyone is having fun. Thanks for the update. Wish I was there to welcome you back from your bike rides . . . . Love ya, Nana/Mom
